Profile picture of me Carol

About me

My name is Carol Fejdman.

I offer countrywide counselling through the medium of zoom, whatsapp and telephone and   practice as a counsellor in the West Hertfordshire area. I also offer home visits in Hertfordshire and the M25 side of North London. My availability is Monday to Sunday 8.30am to 9pm.

My rate for a 1 hour counselling session is £40 for Zoom and £35 telephone counselling.  I charge £60 for home visits depending on distance and F2F in my private office.  For any appointments before 9am and after 5pm I charge an extra £10.  All charges are with discretion and if you are having financial difficulties, please still contact me and we can discuss fees together.

Feel free to call me for a short chat to discuss the counselling I offer and for you to decide if you feel I am the right counsellor for you.

I have been practicing  as a counsellor for over 10 years and continue to be in ongoing development in all general mental health, bereavement and loss issues. I work in a confidential and ethical way to ensure the safety of my clients, and practice under the supervision of an experienced MBACP Counsellor/Supervisor who has a wealth of experience of many years in mental health, bereavement and loss issues.

What I offer

I practice as a person-centred Counsellor based on the core conditions of empathy, respect and honesty. These conditions I believe are the essence to achieving a healthy and balanced relationship in any human environment.

I offer to enter into a relationship with you whereby through the process of exploration and reflection of your thoughts and feelings we can together discover and focus on how your life has evolved.   Through this process we can work together for you to achieve greater independence and self worth to reach a point of balance in your life for you to nurture and validate your own mental health.

Training

  • West Hertfordshire College
  • Amersham College
  • Training and Development in a countrywide Bereavement and loss Service

My ongoing development is in all mental health, bereavement and loss issues and the many ways in which we experience these in our own individual way and the effect on our emotional and physical well being.

As a Counsellor I believe in the importance of developing and providing a safe, therapeutic counselling relationship with my clients. Mental health, bereavement or loss can be painful to talk about and sometimes having family and friends to share your thoughts with may be sufficient for your needs but often it is not especially as feelings are unique to every individual's life story.

My philosophy of counselling is to join in a mutually beneficial and non judgemental relationship as a counsellor based on the understanding that no two journeys are alike and as individuals we are all different.   Sometimes trying to cope with any mental health issues can feel like you are in a never-ending tunnel and have lost your way struggling alone in a world that feels dark, isolated and empty. I offer the service to my clients of entering into a counselling relationship with me in an exploration of feelings and thoughts that have determined the path of their life journey.

My passion and beliefs as a counsellor emanate from my own values, understanding and experience of counselling and how taking that first difficult step to giving yourself a place and time to devote solely to you is the first step to finding truth and reflection on your own reality.

This is a chance for my clients to be able to feel safe enough to take the opportunity to nurture their mental health as it has never been nurtured before and to find the way back from that complicated world they find themselves in to bring their journey of life to a balance that feels normal for for them.

The importance of this special relationship is borne out of the counselling process and a relationship of trust in which my clients together with me as their Counsellor can feel comfortable enough to explore thoughts and feelings on any emotional and mental health issues and in so doing give themselves the freedom and choices to look at their own unique inner self in the knowledge that they are not alone.

That is the gift of counselling.
